Here is a Handsome and Rare Wine Funnel Stand or Tray made circa 1810 by a Scottish Silversmith, either J. McKenzie of Edinburgh, in Hallmarked Sterling Silver. The Hallmarks include the Duty Mark the Head of George the Third, the Thistle Guarantee mark for Scottish Sterling Silver, and a partial Maker's Mark "- Mc" identified in Jackson as either J. McKenzie There is an additional unidentified mark - illustrated - on the underside of the rim. This Fine Old Wine Funnel Stand Measures 3 ¾ Inches in Diameter (9.5 cms) and 3 Inches Interior Rim (7.5 cms) and it weighs over One and a Half Ounces (1.5 ozs / 42 grams) of Hallmarked Scottish Sterling Silver.
